Most people use steroids to treat a skin problem that leads to the occurrence of Red skin Syndrome. Red skin or RRS also called Topical Steroid Addiction (TSA) or Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW). After using the steroid for a longer period increase redness or itchiness of the skin and medication becomes less effective for the clearance of skin. Sign of having RRS vary from person to person but the most common symptom include redness, burning, and stinging of the skin. If you are using steroid then you may experience redness in areas, intense itching, burning, and stinging and the less symptom improvement. While using steroid there are a few factors that can increase your risk including very rapidly including the use of a steroid for a year or longer. if you are using a high level of steroids especially when even you don’t need them.
To diagnose the RRS, you should treat the skin condition that is forcing you to use steroids at any cost. Consult a Dermatologist who examines your condition and perform patch test biopsy or any other test to check the complete analysis of your condition. To stop this condition you should ask your doctor's recommendation about how to go off the topical steroid. Ask the Doctor's recommendation about the use of home remediation or other medication for getting rid of this Problem. However, there are not only a few treatments you may be able to relieve pain by using ice and cold compresses. Use ointments and balm-like Vaseline, hemp oil, zinc oxide, and shea butter. In case of a severe issue, use antibiotic like tetracycline, to prevent skin infections. You should try to use immune-supporting drugs, switch to soap and another detergent that are sensitive to your skin.
